Very nice work. Is there a concept behind it or is it just decoration?

Thank you. I guess you could say it's a microcosmic part of the world in my head, where life and death are juxtaposed in a more overt & absurd way. But like most things, it just popped into my head from somewhere in the subconscious, and the analysis came after.

:jawdrop: Seriously, you're amazing! Do you sell your work? If so, how can I get my hands on some? I need this stuff on my walls.

thanks! I do sell my work.. I have an etsy site however these are in a show so I can't presell them online. After the show opens, any new ones I make will get posted online, however, so keep an eye out on my journal if you want to be updated. :)

thank you! if this doesn't sell in the art show, it will be for sale on etsy. However, it probably will, but I'll be making more like it in the future.

Sweet, well I want to see about buying one in the future once I return, but it might be a while because living in Europe is currently raping my bank account. Thanks economy!

No, I think the two paintings are both very different, I would not be able to say if I liked one more than the other. I really like the colours in the first one, but I think the strong sepia tones in this one gives it a completely different feel; I can definitely see this one evolving into a tattoo, where as the other one I think was better composed as a painting (I think the whole composition of the first also worked really well with the frame, almost as if you couldn't tell where the painting stopped and the frame began, I like the continuity). I also love how the grain of the wood shows through on the background of this one, gives it a really earthy, raw feel.

Oh, goodness. This is amazing and gorgeous, and just, wow. Also, you did a wonderful job of making it look like burnt wood.
